Our Comparison Methodology

How Wafir.ma compares credit and insurance offers in Morocco. Our sources, our criteria, our commitment to independence.

6 principles that guide our work

Verified official sources

Our data comes directly from Moroccan banks and insurers, as well as regulatory sources: Bank Al-Maghrib (bkam.ma), ACAPS, APSF and GPBM. Every displayed rate is verified with the relevant institution.

Regular updates

Rates and conditions are updated at least once a month, and immediately after any Bank Al-Maghrib key rate decision. Every page displays its last update date.

Editorial independence

Wafir.ma does not favour any bank or insurer in its rankings. The display order is determined by the most advantageous rate for the user, not by commercial agreements. Our revenue comes solely from connecting users with professionals, never from ranking position.

Criteria transparency

For each comparison, we clearly display: the APR (Annual Percentage Rate), processing fees, eligibility conditions and mandatory insurances. No hidden costs.

Expert editorial committee

Our content is written by Moroccan financial sector experts: former bank advisors, insurance specialists and financial journalists. Every article is signed and reviewed before publication.

Data protection

Your personal information is never shared without your explicit consent. Simulations are anonymous. We comply with Law 09-08 on personal data protection in Morocco.

How we build our comparisons

1

Data collection

We collect pricing grids, general terms and product sheets directly from banks, finance companies and insurance providers operating in Morocco.

2

Standardisation

Offers are normalised against common criteria (APR, term, amount, guarantees) to enable fair and objective comparison between institutions.

3

Cross-verification

Each data point is verified by cross-referencing with Bank Al-Maghrib official publications, APSF reports and the schedules communicated by institutions.

4

Ranking by customer benefit

Results are ranked from the lowest to the highest rate, or by the best guarantees/price ratio for insurance. The ranking is purely algorithmic, with no commercial intervention.

5

Continuous updates

Our team monitors bank communications and BAM decisions to update data as soon as any change is announced.
