About AtlantaSanad

AtlantaSanad is the insurance company of the Holmarcom group, controlled by the Bensalah family. It was born on 1 June 2020 when Compagnie d'Assurances et de Réassurance Atlanta absorbed Sanad Assurances — Atlanta itself being the heir of La Préservatrice, founded in 1947 and renamed Atlanta after the Bensalah family took it over. Atlanta entered Sanad's capital in 1999 before Holmarcom took full control in 2007. The company is listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, chaired by Mohamed Hassan Bensalah, and licensed by ACAPS for life and non-life business.

2025 figures: according to the annual indicators reported by Boursenews, AtlantaSanad closed 2025 with revenue of 6.05 billion dirhams, up 15%. Non-life premiums grew 6.3% to 4.26 billion, while the life business jumped 43% to 1.79 billion on the back of bancassurance. Based on the 2025 ranking published by Le Matin, that is a 9.4% share of a market worth 64.27 billion dirhams of premiums (+7.6%) — the fastest growth among the major insurers. In the first half of 2025, consolidated net income reached 276 million dirhams (+10.4%) according to Le Nouvelliste.

The bancassurance lever: since 1 January 2025, AtlantaSanad has been the exclusive partner of Crédit du Maroc — acquired by Holmarcom in 2022 — for the distribution of insurance and savings products in the bank's branches. This agreement explains the surge in the life business and makes AtlantaSanad a direct rival of Wafa Assurance (Attijariwafa bank) on the bank-insurance model.

Car insurance: what our data shows: the company publishes no rate grid. For an average profile, our 2026 comparison of the 5 major car insurers records indicative AtlantaSanad premiums of about MAD 2,100 per year for third-party liability, MAD 4,100 for extended third-party and MAD 7,900 for comprehensive cover, 0 km roadside assistance included. The company offers online quotes but usually completes the subscription in an agency. Reminder: third-party car insurance is compulsory in Morocco, and our 2026 car insurance guide covers guarantees, deductibles and the bonus-malus system.

Home, health, life and Takaful: multi-risk home insurance in several formulas, individual and group health top-up cover, savings and protection contracts, plus the AtlantaSanad Takaful range, whose 2026 Hajj formula covers up to MAD 350,000 of medical costs for a contribution of about MAD 1,250 according to our Hajj insurance comparison. On the corporate side, the company retains the transport and industrial-risk expertise inherited from Sanad.

Network and digital: AtlantaSanad relies on more than 360 general agents and 300 partner brokers nationwide. The AtlantaSanad mobile app (iOS and Android) gives access to life and health contracts, lets policyholders submit a health reimbursement file without travelling, scan medicine barcodes and locate the nearest agency; a virtual assistant, Assia, guides customers through their procedures. The official website offers quotes and a customer area.

Subscribing, step by step: 1) compare at least three quotes (our comparison tool, agents, website); 2) prepare your national ID, vehicle registration and the claims history statement from your previous insurer for car cover, or proof of address and contents value for home cover; 3) choose the formula and deductibles; 4) pay the premium to receive your certificate — without a valid certificate the vehicle cannot be driven. Check subscription deadlines before travelling (Hajj: no later than 10 days before departure).

Complaints and recourse: in a dispute over a claim or reimbursement, first send a written complaint to AtlantaSanad's complaints department (online form on the official website, agency or letter to head office). If the disagreement persists, refer it to ACAPS, the supervisory authority, through its online complaints platform: filing is free and you receive a case number to track progress. Borrower insurance attached to a loan also falls under ACAPS.

Wafir.ma is neither an ACAPS-licensed insurance intermediary nor a credit institution: we compare offers. Premiums shown are observed orders of magnitude; only AtlantaSanad's quote and special conditions are binding.
