About Vivalis Salaf
Vivalis Salaf is the consumer-credit company of the Banque Populaire group. According to the history published on its website, it was created in 1989 as Assalaf Chaâbi, initially focused on financing private and commercial vehicles, then absorbed the regional Assalaf Chaâbi companies in 1999, reorganised in 2008 as a joint-stock company with a general management and board of directors, and took the Vivalis Salaf name in 2010 before opening its new head office in 2012 at the corner of boulevards Zerktouni and Bourgogne in Casablanca. Its share capital stands at 177 million dirhams (1,770,000 shares of 100 dirhams); its board is chaired by Mohamed Karim Mounir, chairman and CEO of Banque Centrale Populaire, and general management is held by Nour-Eddine Fadouach (governance). The company is licensed by Bank Al-Maghrib under law 103-12.
Products: the official catalogue includes the Personal Loan — an unrestricted loan with no proof of purchase, repayable over the term of your choice with fixed instalments —, the Classic Car Loan for buying a new vehicle (car or motorcycle) and the LOA Car Loan, which lets you lease a vehicle and become its owner at the end of the contract. Terms (amount, duration, rate) are set at simulation stage according to the socio-professional category; Vivalis Salaf publishes no public rate grid.
Observed rate ranges: as a benchmark, our 2026 car loan comparison places specialised finance companies between 6.5 and 8.5% APR (Vivalis Salaf: 6.90 to 8.80% depending on profile), with express processing at the dealership in 24 to 48 hours, versus 5.5 to 7.5% for a bank car loan that takes longer to obtain. For debt consolidation, our 2026 guide records at Vivalis Salaf rates of 7.5 to 8.0%, a cap of MAD 800,000 over 120 months and file fees of 1% capped at MAD 3,500, with a particular advantage for civil servants banking with Banque Populaire. For personal loans, our 10-lender comparison notes that finance companies accept fixed-term contracts, temp workers and the self-employed more readily, at the cost of higher APRs than banks (up to 12 to 13.5% without salary domiciliation). The rate applied always remains below the maximum conventional interest rate published by Bank Al-Maghrib.
Distribution and digital: Vivalis Salaf relies on its own branches, partner dealerships and the Banque Populaire network, the densest in the country; the Vivalis Net digital agency lets you simulate and file an application online. The customer relations centre answers on 08010 222 22. The digital transformation plan launched in 2018 continues, as shown by the 2026 tenders the company published for its IT infrastructure.
Applying with Vivalis Salaf, step by step: 1) simulate your instalment with our calculator; 2) prepare your national ID, proof of address, last three payslips or pension statement, three bank statements, employer certificate and a quote or pro-forma invoice for a car loan; 3) file the application on Vivalis Net, in branch or at the dealership; 4) answer in principle after scoring, then signature of the contract and death-disability insurance; 5) funds released to the seller or to your account. Law 31-08 gives you seven days to withdraw and regulates early-repayment penalties.
Complaints and recourse: first send a written complaint to Vivalis Salaf's customer service; like any credit institution, the company must reply within 40 working days. Failing a solution, refer the matter free of charge to the Moroccan Banking Mediation Centre, which covers financing companies, then to Bank Al-Maghrib. If you struggle to repay, our foreclosure and mediation guide explains how to act before litigation.
